Extremely deep snowpack is the result of our entire supply of winter snow remaining on ground. We had no snow melt this winter. While this makes walking impossible on land without the aid of snowshoes on the lake it means that the deep snow creates and hides deep slush that can trap any snowmobile that stops or even slows down. The attached photos thus are misleading – beware lake travel at this time.

Sunny and lots of snow looking towards the north arm.
Very deep snow hides slush below – beware.
Deep snow and slush make property access very difficult.
