On February 26, 2017 at approximately 6:51 p.m., the members of the Temagami Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted in regards to a theft of a snowmobile from Island 1058 on Lake Temagami.

The snow machine was last seen on February 22nd, 2017 and is described as a maroon 2001 Polaris 500 Classic Indy Touring.

The OPP is working in conjunction with the Bear Island First Nations officers as the Investigation continues in this matter.
